Dr. Robert D. Wessling

Robert Wessling has been Associate Master and Chief of Students at the University of Macau since July 2013 and joined Choi Kai Yau College when it opened in August 2014. Before coming to the University of Macau, he held various positions at Stanford University: the Associate Director of the Center for Russian, East European & Eurasian Studies; Academic Director of Stanford’s Stern Hall; and Program Officer and Post-Doctoral Teaching Fellow in the Introduction to the Humanities Program. He holds a PhD in Slavic Languages and Literatures from the University of California, Berkeley and has published on nineteenth-century Russian literature and medicine.  He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University, where he lived in Butler residential College.
