CKYC Notice: The G-20 and the Future of Global Economic Policy Event at Hong Kong City U (June 24, Saturday)

Dear CKYC Students,

Greetings from Choi Kai Yau College!

The G-20 Summit is a major meeting of global leaders.  Hamburg Germany will host this gathering of twenty heads of state on July 7-9.  They will deliberate about the health of global economy and consider how to coordinate policies across the globe.

The HKAC will organize a one-day model UN-style symposium on Saturday, June 24, 2017 on the campus of the City University of Hong Kong in Kowloon Tong.  Undergraduate and postgraduate students, local and international, from all disciplines, are welcome to participate at no charge.  Students will form teams to play the roles of leaders of the member states.  They will meet other university students, represent your countries in G-20 deliberations, and hear from international experts in global economy and governance.

In order to encourage our College students to join this event, we are going to subsidy MOP 300 of ferry ticket fees to the participants who have submitted the reflective report after the event. Places are limited. If you are interested in the event, please contact us on or before 14th June (Wednesday).
