Residential College Requirement

As an integral part of the University of Macau education under the 4-in-1 model, “Community and Peer Education” is required of for all undergraduate students. Apart from formal credit-bearing courses there are additional living and collegiate learning requirements, termed Residential Colleges (RC) requirements. These RC Requirements constitute a major effort for the implementation of our students’ Community and Peer Education and for the purpose of nurturing their competency in interpersonal relation and teamwork, leadership and service, cultural engagement, citizenship with global perspective, patriotism and healthy living. Emphasis of Community and Peer Education for the first two years are on more organized and structured activities and programs as described in the attachments, while for the upper class students, individual development and projects along with leadership/organizing skills are of the main focus which requires more human interactions.
